I'm downsizing my considerable personal collection of signed (and other), mainly first, edition books.
I will be listing more over the coming months.
I will post only to those countries with secure tracked
postage. Please check postage for your location before bidding.
I will always combine postage so you get the cheapest rate for more than one item won.
UK cheques and postal orders very welcome. Paypal welcome (Paypal only from overseas bidders).
PLEASE PAY FOR YOUR ITEM WITHIN THE eBay POLICY OF 2 DAYS (OR LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ISSUES ETC). I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO CHASE LATE / NON PAYERS AND AUTOMATICALLY REFER CASES TO eBAY.
ROYAL MAIL POSTAGE AND COMPENSATION: PLEASE NOTE (for postage within UK)
From April 2013 the Royal Mail overhauled their compensation rates for lost/stolen items. This has not been to the benefit of the customer. Rates are now as follows:
1st Class post maximum compensation is £20
2nd Class post maximum compensation is £20
1st Class signed for maximum compensation is £50
2nd Class signed for maximum compensation is £50
I have therefore (in some cases) had to overhaul my postal rates as I'm not a business trader, just an individual.
For items that sell for £20 or less I will post by 1st or 2nd Class post but you can pay extra for a recorded service.
For Items that sell for more than £20 and up to £50 I will only post by 1st or 2nd Class Recorded post. Anything else is not covered by compensation.
For items that sell for over £50 I will only post by Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery (by 1pm).
For bulky or heavy items I will use Parcelforce and will ensure the item is fully insured.
I always refund postage if I have not estimated the amount correctly (minus reasonable costs for packing materials). If I've underestimated it then I bear the loss.
I do not make money on postage.
Please do ask any questions.
Good luck and thanks for looking
