For auction Is My Jaguar X300 XJ12 6.0 Ltr V12 Saloon. I have owned this car since august 2006 and it has been the best car I have ever owned. The Car has a Professionally installed LPG Conversion done in September 2006 and it is shown as such on the logbook. There is an LPGA green certificate to go with it. I have done various upgrades to the car since ownership namely a stainless steel exhaust system (£630), brake calipers stripped, cleaned rebuilt with new seals etc and coated in a special red coating by the Bigg Red caliper company (£250). Replacement auto gearbox and rear diff pinion seal (£2200), BRC LPG conversion (£2000). Dotz Muggello 19" alloy wheels (£1000) (had them professionally recoated in gold last year £260), I do have the original Jaguar wheels if you want them but they are only 16" and not good looking really. Further to this I had installed a top notch sound and navigation system with a kenwood touch screen slide out head unit with built in all region DVD player coupled with a kenwood DVD navigation system that covers all western Europe and uses full postcode selection if required. There is a also a separate DVD 10 disc multi changer in the boot that plays all region DVDs to either the front head unit or the separate LCD screen in the back of the car or both. You can watch a film on the DVD in the front whilst the backseat passengers can watch a choice of 10 films from the multichanger on the rear 7" kenwood screen in the back at the same time and they can control the multichanger independantly via remote control with no input needed from the front head unit (front head unit doesn't even need to be switched on). The rear passengers have wireless phillips headphones that work with the rear screen so front and rear can watch or listen to different things at the same time, the headphones charge up in the car when not in use. There is also A Kenwood keg music player that is connected to the head unit that plays MP3 and other formats like WMA etc from a 10GB cartridge that slots into the keg player. This cartridge is loaded with the MP3s on your PC using kenwood phatmanager music software and a cradle conected to your PC via USB, I have 1 10Gb cartridge but you can buy other cartridges if required up to a 40GB cartridge I believe. The kenwood keg has been discontinued by kenwood due to not selling many units as they were expensive and then ipod connection took over the scene anyway. All this was installed by Ice Direct in Peterborough and cost me over 3k in total and took them nearly a week as I wanted it doing properly with no wires showing Ect. This is all going to stay with the car regardless of the sale price as it would cost me anther £500 to have it all properly de-installed again so I cant see the point. The car has been professionally resprayed at the end of 2008 in House Of Kolor Shimrin grey and a panther black to the roof (total cost £2430), there is a slight bubble coming through on the rear arch but the paint has not been broken through and I have some spare paint for you to get it touched up if you want although it is barely noticeable at the moment, I keep the car out all year round so if you garaged it the paint might do better in future. To the car itself well as mentioned in the listing it has an intermittent electrical fault that sends the car into fault mode and then will only run in first gear until you reset it. This might happen 3 times a day or once a week or once a month it is just so unpredictable. To reset it you have to stop the car and then switch the ignition on and off about five or six times, this will then take out the fault light and the car will run normal again until the next time it happens which might be half a mile down the road or in not for another week or month you just never know when it is going to come back on. One suggestion given to me was a possibly fault in the alternator voltage unit or possibly starter motor voltage although it starts fine so no worries about the car starting. The fault aside the car runs beautiful and the six litre V12 is smoother than J-lo's ass although because I went for a sports exhaust with only 2 silencers instead of the usual 5 there is more noise in the cab than usual with these cars as I wanted a sporty growl from the car and that is definitely what you get. Most things work fine with the car but there is the usual LCD clock fault but this can be changed or repaired very easy and the passenger window needs a bit of help to come back up but this is probably just a WD40 job on the runners behind the door. The key remote central locking Fob that opens the doors has recently stopped working but it could be the battery or worst case you might need a new fob from jaguar that will probably cost around £40 to £50 is would guess, I just use the key to open the doors anyway. The reason I am selling is that I just don't go any where in the car any more, not because of the fault but because I work from home so I never go out and we have a seven seater for the school runs and my eldest daughter also has a car now so if I do need the use of a car on the odd occasion I am sorted anyway and I cant see the point in paying insurance and tax for a car I don't really need any more. Don't believe me?, then check this out, last MOT mileage was 80277 now go and look at the picture of the cars speedo and read the mileage, (the picture was taken today by the way) and tell me if you think this is a car that is needed or used by its owner. That mileage is almost a full 12 month and you can see the proof on the MOT when you collect the car and if not as I have said you can have it for nothing. This is the reason I have not really tried to have the fault fixed because I don't want to spend money on a car I am not using anyway and it will be best for someone to get a bargain and have it fixed themselves or maybe they can fix it themselves for free if they have the knowledge and get an even bigger bargain to boot. Obviously I don't really have a clue what is causing the fault, I have been told by a specialist mechanic friend that it is something electrical but it may in the end turn out to be something else so I am not giving any false hopes that it will be a cheap or easy fix to please don't take it that I am, the fact is I just don't know because I have not had it looked into properly and once you take the car away you are on your own with no comebacks or complaining whatever the outcome of the fault and you are buying on this understanding or please just pass this one by. After all is said and done this is a 17 year old Jaguar if you know what I mean and all the usual rules go out of the window with these cars. Nuff Said about that. The MOT runs out on the 12th September but it went through the last 3 MOTs with not trouble at all and not even an advisory on the last one and it has done 1000 miles since then, the only thing mentioned by the tester was there is a bracket missing on the exhaust but the exhaust is tight and secure and not in any danger of coming loose so he just mentioned that I might want to get it done but didn't put it as an advisory as it is so minor, the reason I mention it is I cant guarantee an examiner elsewhere might insist you get it done for the MOT as some examiners are OK and some are pricks and I don't know what yours is like so I thought I should mention it just in case you get a prick. The car is up on a no reserve winner takes it home auction and there is the lowest of the low starting price as well, this is as fair as I can be and you the bidders will decide what you think it is worth not me. If you want to view the car before the auction ends please call me on 07846609631 but once the auction has finished the buyer buys and that's that, not testing no kicking, no quibbling, you just pay for it and that's that, if you don't want to do this then it might be better for all concerned if you passed this one by. If you are unsure at all I suggest you come and view first before bidding or as I said just give it a miss. Would prefer cash on collection but any way all funds must be cleared before you drive off into the sunset. The Jaguar alloy wheels are free if you want them as is the original cassette stereo and CD changer should you be crazy enough to want to put that back in. The private dateless plate is also included in the sale and came up as worth £800 when i put it into one of those sell your plates websites about a year ago so could be worth more or less now but anyway it is better than having an N reg. You may have some questions I have not put in the listing so please call me or contact though ebay to ask but only if they are sensible or relevant to the car or the sale. Good luck and happy bidding.
On 12-Aug-12 at 17:31:38 BST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that I have also had the air conditioning system completely replaced with new condenser and pump and most pipework due to a leak in the system that caused damage to the system. This was all replaced then re-gassed and now gets ice cold air after about 5 to 10 seconds on the hottest of days. It really is ice cold no messing. This cost me £1500 in total. Also it is the drivers door window that needs help in coming back up and not the passengers side as previously stated. Just took the car out for a 10 mile drive to blow some cobwebs out and is sweet as a nut, the fault did not occur either so were on a winning streak at the moment.
