This is a used Jouef version of the D6100 model with a Jouef box THAT IS NOT FOR THIS MODEL. This is the later version of the D6100 to that produced by Playcraft with extra raised detail picked out in white paint and the colour is from the plastic rather than painted. The Playcraft original drove from all axles, this drives from just one and can just about pull the three French coaches in intercity livery it often came with (not in the auction, this is for the loco only). The original weight is missing as is the screw to hold the body to the chassis which is a good clip fit. I have put a Hornby class 47 weight in it which fits quite well.
The loco works, the motor is good but it has a typical Jouef type of poor pick up which needs cleaning when the loco is used. Some of the white paint has worn off and there are some small speckles of white paint on the roof. The bogies on this are the same as some of the continental models produced by Jouef and look even more unlike the real ones than the Playcraft model! I am also selling a spare Jouef chassis with the same bogies on another auction. The worst side of the loco is in the photo. Sold as seen with no returns but I will guarantee that the motor is a good 'un! Some more weight and prolonged running would probably improve it. continental couplings both ends but only one has the loop.
Sorry, forgot to add that the glazing is missing from one end of this model.
