About this charity:
Elephant Family exists to save the endangered Asian elephant from extinction in the wild, along with tigers, orang-utans and all the other animals who share their habitat. We invest where we are needed most: to protect habitat, prevent conflict and reconnect the forest homes of the endangered Asian elephant.
This beautiful orangutan named Hati was created by Caz Haigh.
Artist Inspiration: Hati (Indonesian for 'heart') is a celebration of the wonderful wildlife found within the jungles of Sumatra, and supports the Sumatran Orangutan Society.
Today the world’s wild spaces are fast disappearing, leaving the animals that live there with no-where to go. Thank you for getting behind Jungle City Edinburgh and for helping to find a new home for this sculpture and it’s wild relative in Asia.
Elephant Family is proud to work with the Sumatran Orangutan Society SOS for Jungle City Edinburgh 2011. The proceeds from this sale will go directly to the Sumatran Orangutan Society SOS.
This orangutan sculpture is made from fibreglass with a sturdy steel structure, and weighs approximately 50kg.
Orangutan dimensions (without plinth): 1600mm (H) x 800mm (W) x 500 (D)
Please note that this sculpture is sold without the plinth.
15% of the final auction price goes directly to the artist.
