I've had this on kindle for years now and bought the paperback to reread on holiday again. This book gives a thrilling insight into New York life from the late sixties, so many cult figures appear and gives great detail through Patti's experiences staying at The Chelsea hotel.A must read for music fans .I keep rereading this book for its electric imagery and personal candidness.Patti is a wonderful storyteller.I especially enjoy her openness about her relationship with Robert Maplethorpe and her love for him, music and literature. This book is a gem and well deserved Award winner. You will be transported to a creative world amongst artists and icons enjoy the journey.
