here I have listed my loved ZZR1100, and she truly is a reluctant sale. I have moved house and need funds for jobs that need doing! The wife has found me sobbing on repeated occasions in the understairs cupboard...
Anyway, though I cannot state she is in concours condition, I do believe she is one of the best combination of low mileage / good condition ZZR 11's around. Check out what other ZZR 1100's go for like this and they are around the 2k upwards price.
She has been lovingly cared for on my watch, with regular washes and polish. I have done some tasteful mods, including:
I have just had her MOT'd, and there is nearly a full year remaining until 14th June, 2014. There were a couple of advisory's: small cut in rear tyre (no sweat), and a light oil mist on offside fork due to some pitting. I believe in being totally honest so had to mention it. I had the other fork "stoned" (did not expose it to cannabis, but gave it to a man who used a cutting stone to remove pitting) about 18 months ago. This cost me about 10 quid for a new fork seal and 25 quid for the stoning, so no biggee. Tax is due at end of this month. I should also mention that there is a gap between this MOT and the last one of around 10 months. This is for no other reason than me being a right cock. I am normally quite anal about keeping my car / bike stuff up together, but I had moved house again at around that time, and obviously plain forgot about it. It was only when I started thinking about this year's MOT that I realised. I gave the wife permission to frog march me to the garage wall and shoot me. Obviously she didn't...
Despite her beauty, she has a mark or two. I am guessing some penis, sorry, previous owner, must have let her fall over on her right hand side (off side), as there are a few chips on the right fairing (have touched in as good as I can), and to the mirror and just behind the indicator lens. Again, I don't consider these a biggee but had to mention. I have tried to show scratches to mirror on one of the photos. The wheels have corroded a bit, and I looked into getting them stripped / re-painted / powder coated. About 40 pounds per wheel will do it if this bothers you.
All in all I love this bike. She runs very well, and can be a little kitten if required but also has the ability to leave brown skids in ones pants if you wish to open her up. That reminds me to say that I believe she has the full power conversion (carb tops) fitted. Doubtless in a straight line she will keep up with any modern sports bike. Mileage is low as shown in photo at 18404. This may go up slightly if I cannot resist the urge to indulge myself if the fab weather keeps up...
Any more info, please feel free to contact me. I reserve the right to withdraw the sale as I have advertised her elsewhere. I'm off to visit the cupboard to cry some more...
