KEF Calinda SP1053 floorstanding loudspeakers These use the famous KEF T27 SP1032 tweeters, B200 SP1054 (Large magnet) bass units, and BD139 ABRs. The crossover is DN18 SP1055 and is an acoustic butterworth type similar to that used in the KEF104 aB. The drive units were used in the very best loudspeakers of the era, not just KEF units. The BBC monitors use them, and are considered a benchmark unit. I think that the Cadenza and Calinda are very fine loudspeakers and stand comparison with the best available today. I have used these Calindas for over one year and can confirm that they perform very well. These speakers have been returned to the state that I bought them in (I have returned the original T27,s); i.e. one of the tweeters is faulty, the other is fine but both have small dimples. As stated above, all other units are working superbly and are in fine condition, the B200's look as new. The Teak cabinets are not brilliant and I have bought some oak veneer intending to renovate them, but I now realise I dont have the time to do it so they are for sale. (The veneer can be bought seperately if required!) They will have to be collected with cash paid. I dont want to seperate the drivers and I would like them to go to a good home. If you have any questions please ask, I would be happy to provide further info or pictures. Please remember, one of the T27's is faulty hence the £40 start price..
