Here we have a very rare piece of machinery, it has just been taken out of storage, as it has been parked up for 23 years.

The bodyshell is a Falcon Mk2 which dates back from the late 1950's , early 60's.

I have a letter from the falcon register & registrar that states that " your falcon is a very fine example of a Mk2".

The news letter also states  "The Falcon Mk2 was designed for the 7'6" Ford chassis, & bore a striking resemblance to the D-type Jaguar & used by Sprite at Le Mans in 1960 (producing a class win, 1000cc,  & 16th overall).  I must stress that this is not one of those cars used at Le Mans, but the bodyshell is of the same type.

Now as for this shell, it was built on a rock solid alfa romeo 2litre gt, fitted with twin dellorto 40's & Spax shockers all around.

It does need work to the body , but the chassis is sound having only bieng built 3 years before it was stored in dry storage.

 I have the V5 , the 3 tax discs & a falcon drivers newsletter saying they knew of only 27 mk2 survivers.

I am far from an expert & this car is far from original, but what i do know is that this car has charm & character & loads of potential with little work. When we got it back, we refreshed the petrol, re-earthed the fuel pump & there she fired, only on three but with no noises, so i will update engine progress when i get chance to have alook.

It is on a Q registration.

 Wow, in all the time i have been using ebay, i have never sold anything with as much interest as this car.

Just to answer the most asked questions,

 It IS registered as a Falcon, as the make of vehicle.

The model / type, is,  2-axle-rigid body sports.

The fuel tank is aluminium with the Le Mans style filler (as shown in one of the photo's)

Just to clear the questions up on the bonnet, yes it does shut flush, its just that we didn't shut it properly when we took the photo's.

Just to clear a couple of question up, it has got doors, but the person who had it glassfibred some 1" strips on the outside to save fitting hinges. These would be easily repicked whilst doing the bodywork if required.

The date of registration on the v5 is 05/05/87.
