An absolutely stunning enamel lidded casserole (known also as a kettle) designed in the 1950’s/60’s by Kaj Franck for Finel, Finland and illustrated by Esteri Tomula.  The Vegeta pattern has colourful graphic illustrations of vegetables displayed around the base on a white background. 

 

There are no dents, scratches, or stains and the only sign of use is on the base from cooking and around the edge of the lid where there are a few little ‘nibbles’.  I have tried to show these on the photos and used white chalk on the FINEL mark on the base to make it stand out more.

 

5” tall x 8” diameter (including the lid, but not including the handles)

 

A must for anyone who appreciates good vintage design
