Kenwood Smoothie Pro (SB300 Series) / Blender – Very Good Condition
This is my sister's smoothie maker / blender. It was a gift to her and she's used it once or twice to make delicious smoothies. However, she's reluctantly having to sell it, as her teeny tiny kitchen just isn't big enough to store and use it. The smoothie maker is in a good, clean condition and excellent working order.
The item itself is extremely sturdy and has a powerful blade for smoothing, mixing and pulsing any combination of fruit and yoghurt (both fresh and frozen), ice cream, ice cubes, juice and milk. It can also be used to blend soups.
There are markings on the goblet that help you to get the ratio of liquid and other ingredients right, so that you can make your own creations. They also tell you approximately how many servings your smoothie mixture will provide. In addition, there are measurements in ml, which range from 500ml to 2000ml. The goblet can hold up to 2 litres.
The blender also comes with a useful stirring stick to help mix and blend the ingredients. It slots through a hole in the lid, so the smoothie mixture is still contained whilst using the machine. Cleverly, it is long enough to do its job well, but not so long that it'll get mashed by the blades at the bottom of the smoothie maker! When not using the stirring stick, the hole in the lid is covered by a plastic stopper, so the smoothie mixture will still be contained when the machine is in use.
Once you have made your smoothie, it can either be dispensed through the tap into a cup or glass, or it could be poured out of the goblet, as with a standard blender – The handle and pouring spout obviously allow you to do this.
Finally, all pieces of the blender come apart (including the tap) so that they can be thoroughly cleaned.
My sister has misplaced the instructions, but a copy of the manual and some recipe ideas can be found here: http://www.kenwood-australia.com/media/pdfs/SB307.pdf
According to Kenwood, the main features of the smoothie maker are:
