Being comfortable and warm at night is essential for enjoyment of the
outdoors. A good quality sleeping bag is a vital piece of camping
equipment. It's hard to appreciate a beautiful dawn when you've spent
most of the night shivering in an inadequate bag. So here's some
advice on helping to choose a sleeping bag.
Most importantly, a sleeping bag must keep you warm. The sleeping bag
filling is of importance here, but so is design. The closer fitting a
sleeping bag, the warmer it will be so the best shape is a tapered one
(or mummy shape sleeping bag). An adjustable sleeping bag hood is
needed too, as much heat is lost through the head. However, for
comfort, you also need a sleeping bag you can stretch out and curl up
in rather than one that feels like a strait-jacket.
Polyester hollow-fibre sleeping bags are quick drying, resistant to
damp and reasonably priced.
The Azuma 300 is a quality mid-range bag ideally suited to camping /
caravanning / festivals / etc. Available in a smart range of colours.

| 3. Extreme Temperature The Extreme Temperature is the very lowest temperature at which the bag will perform. Please note: Inexperienced users and those who are not dressed for cold weather conditions run the risk of hypothermia at these temperatures. Those wishing to sleep in extreme weather conditions should not use the Extreme Temperature rating as an indication of the bags normal use. |

Zip Selection:
To allow for easy access all our zips are '2-way', allowing you to
open the foot of the sleeping bag for ventilation on warm nights
giving you a more comfortable sleeping experience
The zip creates a cold spot, so all of the Azuma sleeping bags have a
zip baffle which is a tube of insulation that runs behind the zip
ensuring you stay warm.
Our range of children's sleeping bags are available with a left zip
only.
We recommend a left zip for right handed users. This sounds a
bit confusing, but essentially if the zip is on your left hand side,
then its easier for a right handed person to zip this up, and vice
versa for a left handed person.
Azuma zips have an anti-snagging feature to prevent them 'catching'
either the baffle or the sleeping bag edges.
Azuma sleeping bags have tailored hoods adjusted by a drawcord.
Azuma sleeping bags have a neck baffle. This is an insulated
collar with a drawcord that brings this snugly around you keeping out
annoying cold drafts.
Box Foot Section: The foot section is created by a circular
piece of insulated fabric, creating a 'mummy' shape which gives plenty
of room for the feet.
Sleeping Bag Compression Sacks: The Azuma sleeping bags come
with a stuff sac for easy transport. Most incorporate compression
straps to reduce pack size.
IMPORTANT: Sleeping Bag Storage
When not in use, your sleeping bag should be stored loose. This will
help extend the life of your sleeping bag.
