This album gets a lot of stick for being pop but in truth only the funkier I was made for lovin you does that job. This album still rocks hard even with drummer Peter Criss playing on only one track and Gene Simmons vocals largely absent. His Charisma and X-ray Eyes are great but Ace Frehley makes a bigger contribution this time round with the excellent Hard Times and Save Your Love. Best of all is Ace's take on the Stones classic 2000 Man, a brilliant cover in my opinion. This album is definitely worth checking out again.
