The manual has been written by someone who clearly doesn't speak English. Which is unfortunate because after spending a long time trying to decifer what the settings actually mean, it is clear that there are a lot of functions. I guess this is the reason it is so cheap. For example the emergency alarm button on the keyfobs is NOT the button with the lightning symbol! If you press this you are setting the home alarm I.e. the perimeter is alarmed but I can't yet determine how to assign the detectors for the perimeter. I am unsure yet on how long the batteries will last. I guess from reading guides of more expensive sets, they should last 3 months? But this is the payoff, expense versus ease of use. So I am recommending this on basis that it could be a lot better , manual lets it down and the gap sensors are rather big for most domestic windows and door architraves. The PIRs have a very short stalk so it restricts the manoeuverability in corners. £60 is better than £600? We'll see.Read full review
