Thanks for Looking
Saint Francis Hospice is an independent charity and one of the largest adult hospices in the
UK. We serve the population of Brentwood, Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge
– around one million people. In special circumstances we occasionally take patients
from outside of these areas.
All the services we provide are free of charge to patients and their families.
We are supported by the NHS, which contributes just over 30% of our total annual running
cost of £6.5 million, but as a registered charity we gain enormous support from our local
community, generating almost two thirds of our running costs through donations. Without
this generosity it would not be possible to continue our work.
