Welcome to the website for Sargents of Sussex. Established in early 1994, we traded, and were known as D.J. Sargent of Copthorne for 17 years, building a solid reputation, through 1000s of sales, for supplying high quality vehicles, with an honest and dependable approach. In May 2011, we relocated from our native Copthorne to the beautiful rural countryside in the heart of ‘1066 Country’ between historic Battle and picturesque Rye in East Sussex. Our trading name changed accordingly but our business remains the same. Our focus is very much on providing properly prepared and presented high quality motor cars, and you will find on this, our home page, pictures of vehicles previously sold as a 'taster' of what our business is about. Sargents of Sussex is run by Damon Sargent. A lifelong enthusiast, motor cars were instilled in his blood from a long family background of motor and mechanical engineers. After seventeen years the business continues to run with an enthusiasm and integrity that is higher than ever, with according specialist knowledge of the stock. We pride ourselves on a 'traditional values' approach to our customers and will always make every effort to resolve any issues, should they arise. Indeed, we value repeat business very highly and are delighted to say that many customers return because they have determined to buy only from us.

We will often endeavour to source vehicles of a more interesting nature and we have sold numerous Ferrari, Porsche and AMG Mercedes, BMW M3/M5, Lotus Elise, Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evolution. Many more ‘niche’ market vehicles have also passed through our hands, Lotus Carlton, Sierra RS500 Cosworth, Noble, TVR and many older classics.

Our core business concentrates on high quality, late registered 'mainstream' vehicles, often still within the manufacturer’s warranty period. Products from Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Mercedes and Mini, to name but a few, are typical.

Based in East Sussex between Battle and Rye, we are surprisingly accessible being just 5 minutes from the A21, and a little over 30 minutes south of M25 Junction 5 for customers travelling from the motorway network. Major routes serving the A21 such as the A229, A259 (and A27) ensure easy accessibility for all of Kent and East Sussex, and the South Coast.

The Sargent family have been involved in the motor trade for a great many years now. The great grandfather of Damon Sargent, Henry James Sargent, began trading, in East Grinstead, in the early 1920's and built a successful business, Sargents of East Grinstead Ltd., which remained for 60 years until finally closed in the early 1980's. We are proud to follow in the family tradition.

We offer viewing seven days a week with plenty of flexibility on hours. Viewings are strictly by appointment only however.

We are a Motorplan authorised warranty provider and can offer a wide range of warranty packages.

As licensed credit brokers we offer full finance arrangement facilities.
