from LVC's current spring/summer 2014 'Treasure Island' Collection
This beautiful sheepskin suede leather jacket is my pick of this season's collection. I reckon this is the most interesting and tastefully designed reproduction leather jacket that LVC has done for quite some time. Made in Italy, from the finest sheepskin suede leather, this jacket is a faithful reproduction of a Levi's western suede jacket made in different variations from the late 1930s through the 1940s. The soft supple sheep suede leather is remarkable. The rich reddish brown suede is awfully dazzling while still subtle enough to compliment the simple classic western design, highlighted by the crimped western yoke details and the waist band's side cinch strings.
This Jacket is light enough for wear in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons and is suitable for Winter when layered. The jacket fits on the larger side of tagged size allowing for downsizing if you are after a slim fitted fit, or buy your size if you prefer room for layering and comfortable relaxed movement. Sold out in most specialty shops at a retail price of $985 or more plus tax. I'm selling one size small, one size medium, and one size large. Please see measurements and fit pics for specific fit estimation.
more on fit: I usually wear size medium in LVC leather jackets and tops. With this particular jacket, a size small fits like a slim fitting, slightly cropped medium. I am 6 ft tall, 170 lbs. My chest measured 41” around, measured level, just above my nipples at the widest point of my chest and back with arms relaxed at my side, and 40” around with my arms extended to my sides as if preparing to have my wingspan measured. The small fits me like a slim medium, with room for movement and light layering from the functions of the expandable pleats providing a perfect classic slim silhouette with a cropped fit. The Medium fits me comfortably with more room for layering and movement while allowing for a slim silhouette with use of the back/side cinches. The large is approximately one size too large for me. I have posted fit pictures of the size small and size medium jackets. Refer to fit pics and actual measurements for more details on fit.
