For sale is a set of Ladderax shelving/bookcase/storage unit which are from the late 1960's/early 1970's. I can't be sure of the exact date but my husband says that The Virginian was on TV when these were new!
What you are getting are 2 ladder style side pieces at 2m tall by 355mm deep. There are 3 shelves and a cabinet with 4 pairs of rod/runners to attach them to the side pieces. The shelves are 900mm wide by 350mm deep. The cupboard is the same but with a height of 475mm. You can have the cupboard and shelves in multiple positions- the photo only shows 1 of the many variations. The cupboard has an interior glass shelf and sliding doors. The shelf is held in place by 4 pegs which it rests upon so you have a choice of height for the internal shelf. One of these pegs is not original - a similar piece of plastic has worked adequately for the last 20 years or so. This is a really useful and versatile piece of furniture which we are only disposing of now as my son needs a full size wardrobe in his room rather than shelving (which was full of lego and models until recently). The second photo does show some damage to the one side of the cupboard where a piece of wood was knocked out and was glued back in. The damaged piece is about the size of an adult hand. When the cupboard is facing you the damage is on the right hand side towards the rear, top corner. There is no other damage to the unit. Because of the size of the unit, this will be for collection only - I live in Pelsall, Walsall. You can pay cash on collection or in advance by Paypal - whichever suits you best, just let me know which you prefer? Any questions? Contact me! |
