An Engine service kit containing all you need to maintain the performance, efficiency and reliability of your Classic Range Rover 1970 to 1995 model. What's more it offers a massive saving over paying your local main agent whilst ensuring the best quality products that we use on all our own highly reputable V8's. Just take a look at the relative specification of the Valvoline VR1 Oil, The ultimate high specification Classic Oil for an engine that is indeed a classic.

We have specialized in the Rover V8 engine for 24 years now, this is longer by far even than those nice new folk at Cosworth and Mitchel Cotts that now build them new. Thus we have put this service kit together so that you can enjoy the benefits of our low cost deals, as well as being assured of the highest quality product.

This service kit includes:
  • 5 plus 1 total (6Lt 's) of Valvoline High detergent Road/Race highest specification VR1 Motor Oil. Essential in all cases for the classic nature of the many Rover V8 variants and also the correct amount for most if not all std applications.
  • 1 x Genuine Land Rover 'spin on' Oil Filter with seal.
  • 1 x High quality Air Filter (here patten is as good as genuine but much cheaper).
  • Set of 8 V8 NGK BP6ES Spark Plugs.
  • Postage costs that reflect our high quality packaging and courier service that includes tracking and insurance cover as well as maximum level of assurance to reach you in time & undamaged condition.


I have a TVR and TVR recommended Mobile1. I have my doubts, is this correct?

Well Mobile-One would be good oil for most modern ultra high spec. Engines with perhaps multi valve overhead camshafts, turbo-chargers or supercharged engines.This is because even on cold starts, such low weight modern synthetic Oils get around the engine very quickly to provide essential lubrication to such low tolerance parts on modern engines. However the Rover V8 suffers dramatically from such an oil type because skinny modern Oils have no ability to support the Rover V8's hydraulic tappets and thus causes massive premature valve train area & camshaft tappet wear. Whilst such Oils have their advantages for pure engine race performance when up to temperature, it's use with the Rover V8 causes severe side effects for the classic Rover V8 Engine. This is why we recommend and use only Valvoline VR1 classic race engine Oil. Whats more, its affordable enough to change often and this is another real advantage

Please note: We have not included Plug wires in this listing as we have no confidence in the use of original Standard equipment or most after-market plug wire types. Also if you have Magnecor wires under five years old there would be no need to replace them in a service anyway, however if you don't already have Magnecor wires, you can find them elsewhere in our eBay listings. They should be added to this service kit if you have any other leads already fitted to your V8.
