Large Old Vintage Chest Trunk Steamer Bedding Box Quirky Coffee Table

This is a large vintage chest that could be used as either a bedding box or as a quirky coffee table or just for general storage.

The chest has loads of character and charm and has knocks and scratches consistent with it's age and tell the story of it's previous life.

The chest is navy blue on the exterior lined with black edging. 

There is a central locking mechanism on the front and 2 latches either side, one is still in tact the other is missing.  There is surface rust on all the metal work and the latches are stiff to move, some WD40 may help on the latches.  All four edges are bound with metal edging adding strength to the chest.  There are handles on each end, on one side one of the attachments has rusted away. 

The interior has been painted in Annie Sloan paint 'duck egg blue' over the original paper giving a clean fresh useable interior.  A nice idea may be to wallpaper the interior with a design of your choice, with a Cath kidston or Laura Ashley paper maybe. 

This chest is large and there is loads of storage space inside.
