THE COTTAGE, Bwthyn Landwr
Comfortably furnished carpeted throughout the lounge bedroom and en-suite
1 double bedroom with ensuite, antique chest of drawers and wardrobe. Bed-linen supplied.
Feature Carpeted Lounge with Velux rooflights, leather sofa, oak dining suite with rustic oak high back chairs,
Sky TV & DVD, CD Radio, Gas enamel stove. (4' Sofa bed available for additional accomodation if required for 2 children)
Kitchen is fully fitted with built-in oven and hob, fridge and washing
machine, ceramic sink and antique pine units. Tea-towels supplied.
En-suite, with corner shower, wash basin and wc, overhead electric fan heater if the morning is chilly.
Bath Towels hand towels and face cloths provided.
Wi-fi & Internet is available, Full double glazing.
central heating is by wood burning stove (all the wood comes from the
owners surrounding woodlands) with radiators in each room.
this will not normally be operated, but the Enamel gas stove and
electric heaters will make the cottage more than cosy.
A Selection of novels, dvd's, board games (scrabble cards etc) and cds are supplied in case you wish to chill out for a while.
Outside the Sliding front door is a Patio which shares the same views across the valley
as the rooms inside. You can literally wake up in the morning and see the views pictured
Sunshine is on this cottage from sunrise to about 4pm, so is a beautiful suntrap.
There is a small table and chairs, a charcoal barbecue is available if required
There is a small paddock bordered by a babbling stream, and
3 acres of gardens and woodland to explore. (It is possible to put a tent here if required)
THE SURROUNDING AREA
Beyond this is an large expanse of common woodland
which can be walked providing you take away nothing more than memories, it is protected.
There are longer walks over the surrounding hills and through the ancient woodlands, where you can
enjoy the views, soak up the peace and quiet as you will probably share it with only yourselves, and
literally from the doorstep of the cottage
Early in the year there are snowdrops, daffodils and primroses growing wild,
which give way to bluebells in May. Later in the year wild fruits are in abundance,
through the hedgerows and woodlands.
Situated 1 mile from the market tow of Newcastle Emlyn, and 20 minutes from the beaches of North Pembrokeshire, Poppit, Newport,
The South Ceredigion coast is only 8 miles away, Aberporth, Tresaith, New Quay, Mwnt,
where the Dolphins are regularly seen swimming. 12 miles from the scenic and
historic town of Aberaeron, excursions go out regularly for fishing or Dolphi spotting.
In-land are the Welsh Mountains and interesting country market towns, you can visit Woolen Museums, Mills,
The Red-Kite Centre near Tregaron.
Locally we enjoy the small-gauge Steam Railway line set on the old GWR line to Cardigan that now runs daily from Henllan to
Llandyfriog. Further down the line at Carmarthen (currently being extended) there is a more extensive full gauge line running
north towards Llandysul.
The emphasis here is peace and tranquility, nature and wildlife, see Badgers Foxes
Red Kites and Buzzards. The valley is teeming with bird-life, butterflies and Flora and Fauna.
Access to the cottage is down a single tarmac lane (no-thu' road), and there is ample
private parking outside. there are 3 small steps through the gateway
and three steps into the cottage, for those who find steps difficult.

Tesco (Carmarthen) will deliver here, should you wish to pre-order your food etc for delivery on your day of arrival.
Please choose a slot after 10am and I will be here to store your groceries in the kitchen, ready for your arrival,
so your holiday can start as soon as you get here. No worries about the ice cream melting in the back of the car.
DIRECTIONS & INSTRUCTIONS
Arrival Time 3pm, Departure 10am
Llandyfriog is situated approx a mile east of Newcastle Emlyn. in the Teivy Valley famous for its Salmon fishing.
The Postcode is SA38 9HB for those with Sat Nav, but you will need these directions too as you will only get to within 1/4mile
On the eastern edge of the village (away from Newcastle Emlyn) you will see a Red Phone Box and post box on a junction of the
road (A475 Newcastle Emlyn to Lampeter) Turn up the small lane beside
this and carry straight on for about 500metres (yards).
You will pass
a series of detached cottages, As the road levels out, the last house
on the left is Landwr. (name on the gatepost) just park anywhere, there are several off road spaces available.
I will usually greet you and show you to the cottage from there.
This is a new venture for me, and I aim to provide a truly comfortable holiday for you.
