Spider IV 150 Watt Head
*This listing is just for the head, but please read below for info on a deal on the cab*
Regretfully i am selling my awesome line 6 amp head to generate a bit of money to help me with Uni.
As i left my band in college, I don't really have the space to hold on to this for future adventures and therefore i need this to go to a new loving home :(
This Amp has been very well looked after, but has a minor cosmetic scratch, not that noticeable on the handle due to general gigging wear and tear, but apart from that, this amp is in pristine condition.
For those that don't know, Line 6 really are at the forefront of making guitar amps that can just about do anything.
They pride themselves on being able to replicate sounds and they've done a great job!
Whenever i was just having a mess about in my front room, i used to play a lot of Steve Vai (well try to...) and Satch and the pre-programmed Steve Vai 'for the love of god' sound was simply outstanding!! almost makes me sound like i know what im doing : P
This amp consists of hundreds of other presets and allows you to make your own or modify existing ones accordingly. It also has a pretty short loop function that allows you to throw down a chord progression and you can solo over the top of it too, i found it useful for tuning different amp settings, learning new lead lines and improvising.
I used to have a top of the range Zoom effects pedal but this amp just does everything so much better, if you have pedals already, great, they allow you to fine tune everything even more but you absolutely do not need to go out and buy one with this amps ridiculous range of versatility.
Its also got a CD/MP3 mini-jack input for playing to backing tracks
Its a solid state amplifier, not valve/tube.
You can add up to 2 cabs
You can add footpedals
This thing is also LOUD. I mean... I never ever played it higher than a volume of 4 or so on a scale that goes to 10, even at gigs in fairly large pubs. There is an urban myth that anyone playing it above 6 will cause the earth to split; swallowing them into the ground never to be seen again... so be careful...
Brand new, these beasts go for around 320 quid, ex-demo you're looking at 270 perhaps...?
Im listing this at the outrageously cheap cost of 230 of your finest English pounds. But id also be willing to listen to offers :)
I was playing this head in conjunction with a Crate 4x12" speaker cab, i haven't listed it yet because it would go well with the head. So if you buy the head and come and collect it, ill be happy to sell the cab to you for 120. i was going to list it for 150 as they sell for 200 new. So grab yourself a bargain and get them both together!
To put this into perspective, if you buy both...
Youre getting a 320 pound amp head for 230
and a 200 pound 4x12" speaker cab for 120
520 (both brand new) - 350 (what im selling for) = 170 pounds saved
I bought both of these items brand new, and they have been well looked after (hopefully you can see from the pics)
I've tried to do this amp justice, tried to tell you as much as i know about it, but if you have any more questions please drop me a message!
