Seller notes: Vintage condition - see description for details

You are invited to bid on this lovely vintage John Bull Puncture Repair Outfit in its original tin. The tin is light blue in colour with blue and white lettering. In the middle of the lid is the iconic John Bull trademark - John Bull wearing a Union Jack waistcoat and top hat, standing pointing into the air. The image is relief moulded and in the ring surrounding it it says "Made for the man Who Will Have the Best". On the base it says "Ride John Bull Tyres and You Will Have Practically No Use for this Outfit!". The tin has a hinged lid and instructions for use of the kit are printed on the inside. The tin measures 4.5", by almost 1.5", by almost 0.75". It is in good condition for its age with minor scuffing/scratching to the surface, mainly on the base. The inside is clean and the hinges are sound.

The tin contains the full puncture repair kit which has not been used. It consists of the following: a dark blue tin chalk powder holder with rubber plug; an unopened tube of John Bull Rubber Solution with plastic lid; a small pencil; a strip of rubber patches in various sizes; fabric plaster; small rubber tube; emery paper; metal valve cleaner with paper label; rubber washer; printed packer's label. All pieces are unused and in good collectable condition. I estimate the kit dates to the 1940s/50s. It was produced by the John Bull Rubber Co Ltd of Evington Valley Mills in Leicester.

A lovely vintage tin and kit, and a fine addition to your collection. I will be listing lots more vintage & antique tins over the coming weeks, so please look at my other auctions.

I list lots of varied and interesting antique and vintage pieces every week, so please keep and eye on my other auctions and add me to your favourites list.

Please note, I ship worldwide on all my items and will happily combine shipping costs on multiple purchases wherever possible.
