A top class cd well worth getting most of all her recent songs 10/10 would recommend to all. A definite part of my collection..........and maybe yours. 'Growing Pains' is Mary J. Blige's eighth studio album. After a tumultuous period in the nineties which saw the r&b and soul diva battle demons both privately and professionally, this album documents her final steps to personal happiness as uplifting single 'Just Fine' demonstrates. It's a positive record, and highlights the emotional depth in Blige who sounds more confident and mature than ever before. Also included is a guest appearance from rapper Ludacris.
I love Mary J and I always will but I still prefer her first album - what's the 411 over any of her other albums. I know she changed with the times etc but I don't feel some her tunes like I used to. Still worth purchasing if you're a Mary fan though.
i am a huge mary j blige fan and i have all of her albums i could not wait for this one to land its mostly old school tracks but if your in to R&B of the 90s you will love it
the album is really great, you just want to dance when you hear it,ive always liked mary j. blige and this is one of her best albums yet,all the songs are different.
I bought this with the intention of it being a great album by a great artist. Mary is a great artist but the album is too average for me. I haven't purchased a Mary J album for a very long time. Overall an OK album but nothing overly special about it, easy listening......
