On auction here is a mk2 Escort estate for restoration or spares.
It`s a basic spec 1100 with original engine & 4 speed box.
Showing 76k. Starts, runs, drives & stops. It`s had a new master cylinder & all copper pipes have been replaced & brakes have been overhauled.

The chassis is very solid but bodywork will require some welding. Both outer sills, front of floor pans and A post areas will all need attention. The front panel is a bit rough where it meets the wings. O/S/F wing isn`t too bad but N/S/F will need repair or replacement.
There is a lot of surface rust all over some of which has started to hole. Doors & boot have a couple of areas that are holed and bonnet edge is a bit tender but these may be repairable.
The O/S strut top has been patched but N/S is original & solid.
O/S/R arch will probably need replacing but N/S/R is good.
The paint on the N/S is just red oxide & was thrown on to try and prevent further rusting.


There are a few items missing:
Door cards & side trims
Carpet
Front bumper
And possibly a few other bits (If you can`t see it in the pictures then assume it`s missing).

Headlining is complete & looks o.k, Seats are black vinyl, standard low back fronts (non headrest) all very dusty but no splits etc. Dash top is all good.
It comes with square headlamps & bowls.

Comes with Weller 8 spokes and descent legal tyres. They would benefit from shot blasting & re-painting but are useable as is.

I do also have a new pair of sills which will be offered to winning bidder.

I would suggest that anyone interested should view the car before bidding so you are aware of how much work will be required.
