Motorhead and the BBC? Forget all the posturing bands Motorhead are THE anti-establishment band, why?--precisly because they don't care what anyone but they and their fans think. So a real surprise here to remember that they regularly featured on radio play. The album is full of live versions of some old favourites and some unusual items, Dr Rock, Orgasmotron and Capricorn are all regulars, but White line fever and Louie Louie are very much from the late 70s and keep us on the road and the spoken Orgasmotron are real rarities. The tracks have a live feel but are well recorded. Overall a fascinating view of the bands most famous mark 2 line up of lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy Phil in 78, 79 and 81 and then the 2 guitar attack of Wurzel and Phil in 86. Shame there is a later one with the great Mickey Dee on drums but heh ho, can't have everything.... Would I buy it? Yes I would, are you daft? But if you haven't got them I'd buy a ruck of other releases first, No Sleep Till Hammersmith as a live legacy, Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, Bastards, Inferno, Killed by Death would get 5 stars from me and a few other 4 plus.Read full review
