Belts & Belt Buckles
British army Issued, used but in good condition Opsrey MK IV Body armour with Soft armour kevlar front and back inserts/filler and ceramic ballistic plates.
SIZE is 190 x 120
ie for 5ft 10 to 6ft 4 and in theory 45-48 inch chest. However Osprey is supposed to be a snug fit and this is the ideal size for anyone OVER 42 inch chest
There are a few cracks on the shoulder panel, otherwise Grade 1.
This includes Ops Panel, and two blanking plates.
The soft kevlar armour line the entire area of the vest and is designed to protect against lower velocity projectiles such as shrapnel from an IED or grenade.
The ceramic ballistic plates are designed to stop a 7.62 short.
These plates are 8.5" x 6.5" ECBA not the larger Mk4 plates, theyare held in place in front of the heart in an internal pouch within the MTP covers.
If being used for ballistic protection it is the buyers responsibility to ensure this is adequate
I have other MTP Osprey kit listed
The postage is noticeable because I only have Royal Mail. It will be sent Second Class Signed for.
UK delivery address only
If the winner does not want the hard armour plates I will refund £15 off the sale price and any chnage from postage.
Mk IV level 3 and level 4 plates are ALL MOD owned and illegal to own or sell in the UK. The plates in this sale are the older level 3 plates used in ECBA, for side enhancement in Osprey (see my other listing) and for emergency front and rear use in Osprey and when the large plates where/ are not available.
Wondring if you have a complete set of the Mk IV with the correct / larger plates available?
If so what's the cost?
A: Hi I'm afraid not, this was a 'training set' I bought myself. I now have an issued training set so I'm just trying to get my money back The issue large plates are wholly owned by the MOD making private... Continue reading
