Payment

We accept payment by: Credit or Debit Card, Paypal, Postal Orders, Bank Transfer. All Auction and "Buy It Now" prices include VAT.

Toolchestdirect Ltd cannot accept your order until you have paid for it in full. You may pay by Paypal, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, Visa Connect, Visa, Switch, Solo (although for certain age-restricted products only a credit card may be used).

Upon payment we will confirm receipt of your order by an acknowledgement displayed onscreen once your payment details have been accepted, followed by an e-mail which will be sent to the e-mail address you provide on your order details. 

You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until the point at which you submit your order by clicking the “confirm order” button on the checkout page. 

Your order represents an offer to us to purchase the goods which is accepted by us when we send you an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order. A legally binding contract between us is created at the point of our acceptance of your order

Prices and Payment

All prices are in pounds (£) sterling, inclusive of VAT. Delivery may be charged in addition, and any such additional charges are clearly displayed under “Shipping Charges”, where they apply. 

Prices may change at any time prior to (but not after) acceptance of your order. 

In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on this website, we will contact you by e-mail (at the address provided with your order details) or telephone you, to ask whether you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. If you are not happy to proceed, or we are unable to obtain your instructions, we will cancel the order and provide you with a full refund of any payment debited. 

By using a credit/debit card to pay for your order, you confirm that the card being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment we will not accept your order and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal. We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order. 

We do not keep any credit cards details and will not share your details with any third party for use as Marketing, As required by the Data Protection Act of 1984 and 1998.

Shipping

We take great care packaging every item to ensure safe shipment to you. We charge a postage fee only to cover our costs of materials and labour. Once your order has been processed and we have received cleared payment, your item will be dispatched as soon as possible. Please allow extra time if you are paying by cheque.to the Scottish Highlands, offshore islands and Northern Ireland, will have a surcharge to cover transport to these areas (see below). We advise customers to contact us for a final postage fee before completing orders. 

Shipping costs exclude Cyprus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia & Switzerland. These countries all incur a surcharge. Please contact for further details.

 Delivery Exceptions

Some items may be subject to additional charges due to their weight and size.
This is usually items over 30 Kg.
We will advise you of any additional carriage prior to shipping.
Delivery outside UK mainland including all Islands and offshore and Northern Ireland is not subject to our normal carriage rates.

 Delivery Times 

We will aim to deliver your goods within 2 working days subject to availability of stock. Standard delivery days are Monday - Friday, Saturday Delivery is a non standard service and is subject to an additional charge. (Any Special offers relating to delivery exclude Saturday & non standard delivery locations)
If however the item is in stock in our warehouse on the day of ordering we will (dependent upon time of the order being recived) despatch it for a Next Day Service.
We must stress that next day delivery cannot be guaranteed.
As soon as your order is despatched we will notify you by e-mail. If it is not possible to deliver your order within the allotted time period or if for any reason it is not possible to fulfil your order we will inform you by email or telephone.

 Delivery Methods

We use Parcel Force and Royal Mail for our Courier deliveries. 
You will need to sign for the goods so please ensure you make provision for this. For security reasons we cannot leave parcels un signed for. If you are unable to sign for a parcel please contact us so we can help make arrangements for you but it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure you can take safe delivery.
In the case of a parcel being returned to us because it could not be signed for we will not refund the carriage and an additional charge may be made to re deilver the parcel.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - RETURNS

Thinking of returning an item? Please read the following information...
 
We will endeavour to provide as much information within the content of our product pages to allow you to make an informed decision on your purchase. However, should you require to return any product, we will allow you to do so within 14 days of the day after receipt. 

If you do this, please contact Toolchestdirect on 01908-632789 or 01908-632591 quoting your original invoice number to be provided with the Returned Item or email: stewart.tcd@fsmail.net

You will have to arrange the return of the goods yourself and track them using a reputable carrier.
We ask that you do everything possible to ensure the goods are returned to us in good condition and if possible with their original packaging.  Please include a copy of the completed Returns form sent. This will help speed up the whole process.

We will refund the total cost of the goods. We can arrange uplift of the items at an extra charge. Any carriage paid on deliveries is not refundable. Should your purchase have been supplied direct from one of our suppliers the terms and conditions of the supplier will apply. See our suppliers own websites for details.
 
Incorrectly Supplied or Damaged Items
 
If we have supplied an item incorrectly, 
or if it is damaged when received or is faulty when received you should notify us within 14 days of receipt on 01908-632591 or 01908-632789 quoting your original invoice number or email: stewart.tcd@fsmail.net
 
We will supply a returns form which must be filled in and enclosed with the returned goods. Toolchestdirect Ltd will arrange the uplift of the goods. After inspection of said items be satisfied as to the alleged defects we will either replace the goods or arrange a refund of the full value of the goods and any carriage costs incurred. 
  
It is advisable to inspect the goods prior to signing for delivery. If you can see any damage whatsoever to the packaging sign for the goods as damaged. If this is not possible please ensure you sign for the goods unexamined to allow us to take any claims up with our delivery partners if necessary.
