Understanding Noise Levels: This portable extractor is as powerful as it can be to still maintain a normal conversation with your client... more power, would be more noise.
Health and Safety: We comply to ALL Health & Safety requirements including the slots at the back of the Extractor... so little children can not get there fingers caught. This Extractor has also passed this test.
Filter Cartridges require no special skills or tools to replace.The portable nail extractor is sold with one filter as standard, which is a dual filter (dust & fumes together- so, no need to swap over- during nail treatments).
- one side is for filtering the dust (white side) and one side is for filtering the fumes (black carbon side). White side faces out at all times, filtering out the dust before the fumes are extracted.
- Easily removed by lifting filter out and replace when needed... just slot another compact filter in! Filters last approx 3-6 months depending how busy you are with nail treatments.
- You may want to purchase a spare filter cartridge. Available at £15.00 inclusive of recorded delivery postage.
If you are investing in a portable nail extractor, including the nail stations built in version- then find out the Specification and compare with this model before you purchase, you will be extremely surprised at the difference of filtration.
Air Quality is Important: Many so called nail extractors do not even state the specification on their write up's, as the power is very poor and most are just fans that blow the dust around in your working atmosphere… this type of fan causes the client and therapist to inhale more of the harmful nail-dust and fumes! Ask the supplier for the information you deserve to know- Extraction is very important!
Find out if you need to get your "built in desk extractor" serviced annually... as a naive college Tutor was telling us that; their desk extractor's were of poor quality (and not only were the tables a small fortune for the College to purchase in the first place), but the college also has to pay over £150 annually, per table- to get them serviced! Our Extractors dont need servicing!
Cubic Meters clearance; You would benefit looking into what you are buying; There are so-called "manicure nail extractors" clearing a room area of just "3" m3 per hour!!!
Our compact nail dust and fume extractor clears: 120 m3 per hour equivalent of a 12 foot x 10 foot room, 6 times over an hour, with the filter fitted... the most powerful manicure nail extractor, that is almost silent.
Our Extractors do not need any pipe work/ ducting to an outside air source which is lucky... any piping or ducting used on an extractor- would cause a huge loss in the clearance quoted- per hour (m3).
Always take the time to find out what the clearance (m3) is... for the room its to filter/ extract- with the filter fitted. The (m3) clearance can drop a considerable amount with the filter fitted and pipe work added! We will not mislead you... our (m3) clearance IS the actual clearance per hour with filter fitted!
Cheap Chinese models do not extract the harmful products from our breathing atmosphere, they retail at anything from £18.99 - £60- but they do not extract, they are protecting your lungs and nose from nothing! I was at Professional Beauty North Show on Sunday 16th October 2011 and a guy was selling these cheap Chinese so called nail extractors at £25- I asked how much of an area they filtered per hour (m3)… he didn’t even know, nor did his Colleague or did the assistant. They looked for the spec on the box and even inside the box and found none... a fan that states No Specification will just blow these harmful chemicals around your nose and room.
Research is key;
The latest research from the USA has found that nail station workers are 40% more likely to get asthma than any other people. The nail dust is very harmful to nasal passages and the lungs. The dangerous nail dust also affects the eyes because it floats around in the atmosphere hours after treatment and this can cause lacerations on the eye, where the nail dust is dragged across the eye when blinking.
Wearing a mask helps protect you when you are doing nail treatments, but we remove our masks when treatment has finished- the harmful dust is still in our breathing atmosphere for hours afterwards, even settling on the furniture, only to be moved again with air movement (even walking past dust will cause it to float again in our breathing atmosphere)… the most dangerous dust cant be seen. A portable nail extractor unit will minimise the risks. Protect Your Health as much as possible!
