The 4 stars for Value are because the controller is well built, easy to hold and use, the buttons work, and the games look similar to the originals. After owning the original Atari, I know the differences, Game play speed is too fast compared to the original. (The Intellivision games had a flow that is missing on this system). The original sounds and music are missing on most of the games! Some games just play silent, some games it's hard to control the character, in basketball, I couldn't move diagonally, In Snafu, their's only two snakes instead of four, Buzz Bomber is relativity unplayable, and NO FROGGER!? For a greatest hits game, they missed one! I used this console for 20mins and had no fun at all, I can't return or re-sell as the postage cost eats any profit i might make, it gave it to my local charity shop the same day! Very disappointing. On the other hand, it would suit a small child for a first hand held console, for learning association, speed and hand eye coordination. No bits will break off and the battery compartment is quite secure. I appreciate attempting to create a Intellivison portable, but this attempt falls short. The Atari and Activision portables play much better than this.Read full review
This is a true classic up there with the Atari 2600. More advanced than the 2600, it has two built in controllers with a disc control pad (which you will like or hate), a nice early 80s gold and mock wood panel appearance. The games are colourful and have good audio.
