Mercury 6hp short shaft 4-stroke outboard motor.
Has remote fuel tank, see the pictures.
This is a superb little engine. It's the 6hp version so 50% more powerful than the normal 4hp outboards this size.
It only weighs 26kg.
It always starts easily and with two adults on board our Zodiac 2.85m SIB it will get on the plane easily, achieving 14-15mph
At low speeds (such as on the canal) it's almost silent and hardly seems to use any fuel at all.
I bought this engine new in 2009 and it's probably done about 100 hours in total.
It was serviced at the end of 2009, 2010 and 2011 which included replacing the gearbox oil, removing and re greasing the prop splines, etc.
It's in pretty much new condition. The picture shows the engine in winter storage, stored upright and in my garage.
COLLECTION ONLY AND CASH ON COLLECTION PLEASE.

This is a SHORT SHAFT engine.
It is in the description but it must be easy to miss as several people have asked this question. It has forward/neutral/reverse gear.
It has mainly been used on the canal near to where I live. Being used on a small inflatable boat means it's never been left in the water, it's always been cleaned and sprayed with WD-40 after each use, and stored in my garage.
My local dealer registered it for the Mercury 5 year warranty, so this may be transferable to the new owner.
There's also a spare starting cord with it, and also a kill cord (it won't start without the kill cord of course)

HOWEVER I DO HAVE A BOX FOR THIS ENGINE AND I CAN PACK IT IN THIS BOX SO YOU CAN SEND YOUR OWN COURIER FOR IT.
THE TOTAL WEIGHT PACKED IS ABOUT 30 KG AND THE BOX DIMENSIONS ARE 38cm X 68cm X 110cm
You'll need to send cash (by Special Delivery) or bank transfer. I'd accept a cheque but it would need to clear before the engine could be collected (about a week)
