I bought the KR175 in July 2012 with a view to restoring it. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I will not be able to take on the restoration. The previous owner bought the KR in 1979 and has it stored in his garage ever since. The car was bought with all panels above the door missing, his plan was to run as an open top with an aero screen. He then changed his mind and purchased a second hand KR 200 door window frames, panels, screen and dome from the owners club. The engine gearbox and running gear are very good and have been started regular. I have not started the KR but I have checked and the gears are working fine and there is plenty of compression in the engine. It has a reverse gearbox. Thr KR needs a full restoration, the floor has a lot of rust and holes and will need to be replaced or repaired. The Messerschmitt is Irish registered and comes with brown log book. It will need to be collected from Dublin, I am happy to help with arrangements. There are plenty of spares including a spare engine, gearbox and fittings from a KR 175 Comes with lots of manuals, literature, owners club mags etc. You are welcome to come and have a look before bidding. A PayPal deposit of £300 will be required at the end of the auction and the balance cash on collection.
