The one I had before this had a switch that turned the bun warmer off and on which I really appreciate it because you don't waste any additional electricity and that warmer gets crazy hot it literally toasts the buns. This version has a bun warmer but there is no switch for it which I was disappointed about but it seems to me that it just absorbs heat from the heating element on the other side and doesn't use any additional electricity because it doesn't seem to get even half as hot as the bun wormer I had before. It's pretty small. I cook one decent-sized burger or a chicken breast at a time. The cook's a chicken breast in about 4 minutes which is fantastic and I love how much fat drains off of meat in these things.

The first one I bought turned out to be my first line of defense in the kitchen. I bought a second larger one but found that it was slow and was good for large tortilla things but the small one gets 20 times the use and is so important to me that I bought a second used one on EBAY which evidence showed to be broken before packaging so I bought a third one and now have a backup plus spare parts. THE BACKUP WAITS IN THE CABINET IN CASE I HAVE A HOUSE GUEST. LIKE THE MICROWAVE, REALLY GOOD TOOLS DO ONLY ONE THING AT A TIME. DON'T THINK FOR A SECOND THAT A LARGER UNIT WILL DO THE SAME GREAT JOB. IT WON'T. DON'T THINK FOR ONE SECOND THAT A DIFFERENT BRAND WILL DO THE SAME JOB. IT WON'T. Imagine taking a slice of bread. Cut it in two vertically. Butter both halves being careful to butter the same side so it will fold correctly. Microwave on a plate for 30 seconds to make the butter penetrate 100%. Add 1/2 slice of Kraft American Cheese to one half and fold the other bread half over it. Put it diagonally on sandwich maker for as long as it takes to brown. To show off you can flip it over to get a cross hatch pattern. You will see when to do that. All this is very quick and makes a snack that will hold you for a long time. This as quick and as good as it gets in the kitchen. Minimal effort with minimal cleanup. If you must be neat just wipe it down while warm with a paper towel. Personally, I know that overcleaning causes trouble no matter what. A fry cook would kill the person that cleaned his favorite skillet or over cleaned his griddle. Once you have it like you want it you hope it stays that way forever. This little gem is perfect with little effort. Having a second drip tray makes Foiling the first one a snap also as you just lay the foil over the first one and the second one over that to make the perfect shape. My spare parts unit provided that. Imagine a half dozen slices of bacon while you are doing your pancakes and eggs. The progress is spatterless and relative slow enough that there is little danger of ruining them due to inattention. Mine are crispy every time even with turkey bacon.Read full review
I purchased the George Foreman grill for my son who recently purchased a house. I have the larger George Foreman w/bun warmer, and I LOVE it. When I asked my son what can I get you for your new house,he asked for a George Foreman grill. He LOVES it and how easy it is to clean. I would advise everyone to purchase any one of the many different grills available. You can cook most things on them, fat winds up in the tray(instead of your waistline) and IT CLEANS UP WITH A SIMPLE WIPE WITH A PAPER TOWEL/RAG. You will LOVE it. :)
