Delivery and Returns Terms and Conditions
As with most companies delivery of pallets are carried out by a 3rd party haulage company, we work closely with our haulage company and do everything we can to make sure the transaction is as smooth as possible, however please see below for guidelines from us to inform you of the processes, so that you can let us know of anything that may delay a delivery in getting to you.
• All deliveries will be kerbside/bottom of the driveway only. Any alternative arrangements made between yourself the customer and the driver will not be part of our contract between our company, yourself and the courier.
• The delivery will be taken to the nearest flat hardstanding location, (this may be the road) and is at the drivers discretion. You will need to make sure you have sufficient manpower available to move the pallets. This is your responsibility.
• Unless specified by yourself and prior arrangement or correct delivery charges paid. Delivery will be a standard 2 to 3 working day delivery. This will be between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Additional more specific times and dates are possible, please contact us so we can help.
• Deliveries cannot be made onto gravel, slate chipping, grass, soft verges or slopped areas as the driver uses a pallet truck carrying upto 1 tonne. Which will not pass over this. This is a lorry with a tail-lift not a crane (HIAB)
• Each pallet of stone when full weighs approx 1000kg (1 Tonne)
• Deliveries lorries vary in size and maybe upto 28 tonne, if there are any difficulties with access in reaching your property, such as narrow roads, steep hills, small cul du sac. Please advise us so that we can make the delivery company aware, and have the right Vehicle sent out to you accordingly (if available). Redelivery charges will apply if the driver can not get to you because you have failed to inform us of any potential issues or you are not there when the delivery has been pre-booked in advance. Re-delivery can be £60 per crate/ pallet
• Customers or a representative are to be at the property to take delivery of the goods and provide a signature.
• Whilst we do everything, we can to ensure your delivery is dispatched on time, all deliveries are with a 3rd party company, we cannot take responsibility if they delay the shipment, we ask that you take this in to consideration, allow time for your delivery when ordering and do not have workmen waiting onsite.
• Please allow a minimum of 5% extra on your order for cuts, wastage and a small number of potential breakage whilst in transit or when installing. The stone is fragile, and we ask you take this into consideration. We will not refund breakages up to 4% as these can be used for cuts.
• We do check each crate for before it is dispatched from our yard and check packaging for a safe delivery. We ask that you take a moment to check through the crate before the driver leaves. If you find there are any damages, please sign for the item as damaged. We are unable to offer any replacements or credit if the delivery slip is not signed for as damaged, as this invalidates the insurance with the courier company. You will waiver all rights and additional delivery costs will be charged to you.
• Please report any damages to us with supporting pictures within 48hrs and so that we can follow up your request. We can not be held responsible for damages reported outside of this time frame. Please take photo evidence of the damages from inside the crate. Once the stone have been moved it is very difficult to claim anything from the courier company back, in some cases we are unable to send out replacement slabs in this instance a refund will be offered. Please make sure you order more than required as stone is fragile until laid and breakages do occur during transit and installation.
• If you change your mind on receipt of your order, we are happy to accept returns within our 30 day policy, provided that the condition is as sold and that the material is in its original packaging. The responsibility and cost for the return of the goods is that of the buyer. Refunds will be raised upon receipt and full inspection of the material returned. A restocking fee of up to 15% applies - to confirm the full cost please get in touch before initiating a return
