While well suited for their intended purpose, that's not what I'm using them for. I rip out the E14 socket part and instead connect the wires to the wires of the base of the 'octopus' (8 aluminium strips carrying LEDs, that you stick into the base) of lamps/bulbs mainly meant for ceiling light enclosures etc, then glue the adapter to the base, letting the octopus be used as a bulb (The aluminium strips can be bent/curved to fit in other lamps).
