The DRI Sleeper alarm is supplied in the original manufacturers packaging with, Alarm Unit, Urosensor, Batteries and complete user Instructions in English, French, Italian, Dutch, German, Spanish and Danish

The Outer Box for your item will be 'flat packed' to prevent damage to it during transit - we found that the boxes if left formed are getting squashed in the post.

The units that we supply are in the latest colours of Blue / Yellow and come with the latest Urosensor NOT the Flexitector, which is used on the older units, that are sold by others

The Sensor - the key to beating bedwetting

IMPORTANT NOTE: the sensor is the key to beating bedwetting. Beware of Hard Plastic Sensors that are placed inside the underwear as these are very uncomfortable and understandably will often not be tolerated by the Child. Equally flat bed sensors require that the child does not move off it during the night which deems them extremely 'hit or miss', and will only trigger when the child 'wets the bed', which of course is not ideal given that you are trying to teach the child NOT to 'wet the bed'

The Urosensor™goes inside the underpants right where the urine hits.
Its soft and flexible - no hard plastic clips or domes.
There are 9 pairs of sensing strips on BOTH sides for maximum detection
There are no metal contacts and so it can't corrode or deteriorate in urine
It is completely moulded and easy to clean and dry for instant reuse.
There are no connections to break.

Is the DRI Sleeper^™ electrically safe?

The DRI Sleeper^™runs on only six volts and a tiny current, and it is so safe that you can put the detector on your tongue, and trigger the alarm, but you will feel nothing. All that happens is for less than a second a few microamps (which you can not feel) passes through the detector and triggers the alarm unit, which then keeps beeping.

The DRI Sleeper™ special electronics and electrolysis prevention

When an alarm is triggered by urine it starts beeping. But what most people don't know, is that with most alarms, all the time that the alarm is beeping, there is an electric current passing through the sensor. Even although the current is very small, it can cause the urine to become acidic (called electrolysis) and that can irritate sensitive skin.

But the DRI Sleeper™ is different, as soon as the Urosensor™ is wet by urine, it triggers the DRI Sleeper™ alarm, it starts beeping, and instantly the special alarm electronics isolate the Urosensor™, and no more current passes through the Urosensor™. The DRI Sleeper™ alarm unit keeps on beeping, but with no current in the Urosensor™ to make the urine acidic. Therefore no acid, and no risk of skin irritation.

How is the Urosensor^™ cleaned?

The detector is a moulded unit and so no urine or water can get inside. Therefore it is simple to wash in soap and water.

How long is the Urosensor^™ wire?
The wire is 2.5 feet long (800 millimetres) and is suitable for children aged five years, through to adults.

How long will treatment take?

Typically treatment is 3 to 6 weeks, but as with the treatment of any condition there is a great deal of variability. e.g., some children will respond and be finished with treatment within a week, a larger group take 3- 6weeks

Manufacturing Warranty

We will replace any Alarm unit which fails due to a manufacturing fault within 60 days of purchase. We will not replace if the fault is due to damage due to misuse. The batteries should last at least 6 months to a year and almost never need replacing during treatment.

Especially note that the Urosensor™ is a consumable item, and is not covered by the warranty. What this means is that it is expected that it will need replacing from time to time, just as the earphone on a portable radio will need replacing from time to time. Whilst we expect the sensor with the correct handling to last long enough for the usual treatment time of 3 to 6 weeks, it may need replacing during a longer treatment time, and so our advice is to purchase a spare Urosensor™ when you buy your DRI Sleeper™ to have on hand, to ensure continuity of treatment, just as people will usually have a spare earphone for their portable radio.

Due to the personal nature of this item, we accept returns of the Alarm Unit ONLY if it fails due to a manufacturing defect within 60 days of purchase - under these circumstances we will replace the unit, after testing, and do not offer a refund. Sensors are a consumable item and as such carry no warranty, and for hygiene reasons cannot be returned.
