I am a property developer and I build this house for my Mother to come and live with us, she got the big "C" and never made it. We have never really lived in the house so its surplus to requirements. I have other projects needing my attention.
I know there are a few colourful characters on Ebay so the message is no I dont want to swap for a council house in Aberdeen or a garden shed in Basingstoke. However being in the property business I am open to an offer with large deposit and a private mortgage if required, otherwise the house is an absolute bargain.

car to the motorway and then about 10 minutes to Gueret . This house

The house has been designed to be cheap to run. The annual taxes on the property are very low because it is an eco house. The insulation is so good that the wood burner provides sufficient heat for the whole house, even the internal walls have insulation in them. The whole house is fitted with low energy lighting so if the boiler is run on wood the electricity bills are very low.
Building and repair costs in France can be enormous because taxes here are so high, so this house is an economical alternative to a native farmhouse which are expensive to run and maintain.

for several vehicles. Covered veranda with wooden decking leads to
the front door. Hallway, ideal boot room. Leading to the open plan
style lounge/dining room, leading to the fitted kitchen. Useful

house is at the end of a road so there is no traffic and the only
local house that is used is a holiday home. The house location is very private
and not overlooked. The garden needs developing but is easy to
maintain in its present state, it has a small wood, garden pond (with goldfish) and a few
mature trees dotted around the grounds.
whole area is covered in walks so it is doggy heaven. Close by there
is a swimming lake and numerous places to visit. The Creuse
department is a world heritage site covered in natural forests and many
lakes. For most of the year there is a lot going on especially in the
summer. The local pharmacist organises a Anglo/French social group
for expats and locals to get together.
nearest big town is Gueret which has all the large supermarkets you
could need. We prefer to travel a little further (35 mins) to
Montlucon for our weekly shop as it is a little larger and has more
facilities. The nearest airport is just over an hour away at Limoges with cheap Ryanair flights to Bristol, London, East Midlands, Liverpool and Leeds.
