This is a nice range finder for the money. Seems accurate, and easy to use. The small size is nice, dosnt take up much room. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable range finder.

I find this range finder very difficult to use. One is never sure what object it is range finding and it is hard to get a reading from the pin. Works o.k. on larger, clearly defined objects such as a bunker bank. I have left it in my golf bag most of this season, instead relying on someone else in the group who has a range finder that gives easier, more accurate readings. If your course has laser returns on the pins, I highly recommend a finder that shoots the pin markers only.

The Nikon Coolshot 40i is light weight, water proof and easy to use. This range finder picks up yardage very quickly and is very accurate. New proposed rule changes, by the PGA of America, will allow range finders to be used during tournament play in the near future. I believe this range finder is one of the best on the market.

This range finder has the same problem many of the non-Bushnell range finders have: they don't lock on the pin, but rather the background. It takes multiple attempts to get the correct yardage. Even scanning, as they suggest in the handbook, doesn't seem to work. Once you do get locked on, the yardage numbers are correct. Would not buy this model again.

I like nearly everything about this rangefinder. It is small and easy to store and carry. It is accurate and easy to use. The only problem is that it is so small and lightweight that it can be difficult to hold it steady enough to get an accurate reading, particularly on a more distant target. I generally have to rest my arms on the some part of the cart to hold it steady enough.
