I bought this product as my son had lost one (a black one , on the floor of a hired car on holiday). A coloured one can be easily spotted on the floor, and I didn't want to pay full price again, so a second hand one will suffice. The new nintedo's aren't built as well as these classic ones, the hinges are strong and the device is easy to use- does a 6 year old need a telephone or internet in this device? You would hope not! This device came with two games included, both didn't work- so be aware this could happen(with second hand games). I think children generally are quite brutal with toys and games so they need to make the game cartridges more durable.
Purchased this for my 3 year old as my 9 year old was having a Nintendo 3 ds xl for Christmas and as they both had ipads last year I knew they would love them, my daughter finds it really easy to use and has constantly used it since christmas day, very clear display and games really easy to use i.e peppa pig, sonic, Madagascar etc
This was bought as an "extra" birthday present for my wife (her 80th.) and as she is hooked on Sudoko, that was the first game I bought for her. She has really "taken to it". Her only complaint is that the battery doesn't seem to last long. (Maybe something to do with how long she spends on it). Sorry, I can't compare it with other products, but we are both pleased with this product.
Bought this Ds Lite for my little boy as he kept pinching his sister`s DSi. What a great invention, keeps him happy and content for hours. Very simple to use and also light enough for tiny hands to control.
Great game for while my granddaughter was on the aeroplane to their holiday.
