I bought this as a gift for my family for christmas. The consol is bvrilliant easy to setup and use.. So simple to get you going even my 5 year can do it. My 5 year old loves all the games and my two year old girl likes to tryand play too. but I think she will enjoy it more in a year or two. Me and the wife find it a great tool to have fun and to keep fit in the evening when the kids go to bed. Just got to tryand be less competative as my wife is getting better than me. another good thing is that you can download the bbc iplayer for free and the consol will stream from bbc site. Which is a real bonus. only down sides are that it doesnt play dvds and it would be nice if it was HD. But all round really please and highly reccomend.
I'm an absolute technophobe and even I was able to set it up in 10 minutes! I accept it's probably not one for the games addicts who like to play 24/7 and talk about quality of graphics etc but it's a good value for money, easy to use, bit of fun that looks particularly neat in black to leave in situ by the TV for occcassional use and a break from the telly!
I bought this console to replace one I had lent to someone and didn't have the heart to take back as they were enjoying it so much! This was extremely good value as it included 50 games with it. The console was easy to set up and works well. It is smart looking and does all that you would expect of a wii. There is nothing I don't like about it.
We bought the Nintendo Wii a couple of weeks ago, the games are widely available and reasonably priced. We went on to purchase extra hand sets so all the family could join in with the fun and thought it was a great buy and we loved it. Then last week we purchased a connect for the x box and sadly the Wii has been put away as this has become the less popular of the two products. we are looking at selling the Wii now as the latter is better and is hand set free.
When I first told my gaming friends I want to buy Nintendo Wii they looked at me funny. "Don't do it," they said "Graphics suck and games are all for kids." Oh, how wrong they were. I bought Wii and do not regret it! Maybe graphics are not as good as PS3 or even xBox - but fun is much better. First of all instead of just sitting on a couch exercising your thumbs and maybe a few other fingers on a controller you have to move you but and get into action with your whole body. And with two or more remotes and nunchucks your friends can join you. And Wii games are not all "kids" friendly. Red Steel 2, House of the Dead Overkill, Resident Evil - these are some brilliant games which kids should not be allowed anywhere near. In conjunction with Wii balance board this is the best console I have ever owned! And I lost almost a stone in weight since I started playing with it :)Read full review
