Welcome to my sale of the Nobile 666 2008!
I bought this board around 3 years ago brand new for £470 and ran it along side my Flexifoil Alpha 144x44 as a high wind board. After the first few flights of the board I decided to sell my bigger Alpha board, reason being if there wasn't enough wind to drive the Nobile I wasn't interested, the 666 was so much better to ride!
I'm a pretty hefty kiter but I kid you not I was out today on this board (Friday 8th July Afternoon) and was fired up in 15mph wind and going upwind like a train!
This board has now become my backup as I've bought a 132x42 2HD Nobile. Today, however, I've realised the 666 is very close, too close, to the 2HD to make keeping it practical. The main difference I see against the two is the WEIGHT. The 666 is loads lighter, making it easier to get on the feet and launch with, the 2HD can drag a bit. So on that score I suppose you could say the 666 is a much easier to handle ghost of the newer £570 2HD hmm. I need to get used to the 2HD for sure but I can't help going back to the board that's ticked all my boxes faultlessly, so I need it away from here :`¬/
The condition is NOT reflective of the year, I've seen worse boards than mine less than 6 months old. There's a few underbelly scuffs but nothing that makes a difference, you have to press your nose up against the board to see them! The rails and board tips are in spotless/pristine condition! I hate seeing boards for sale (especially Nobiles) where the board has been ground into the sand completely scratching out the heal edge, these people want locking up! The fin-tips have a bit of paint missing (why Nobile painted them instead of using a red dye beats me) but there is no wear to the fins themselves. The straps are mint condition as I'm not a savage high flier so never gave them a hard time. Lost a fin, last spring I think, which was replaced with a brand new one and the mounting had to be rebuilt as a result, superbly.
The board uniquely also comes with STAINLESS load spreaders! These were personally fabricated by the legend that is POPEYETHEWELDER, if you know anything about race buggies you know this guy. There are no more like them I guarantee it, and he refuses to make any more (tight arse) but there it is, as far as I know this is the only board that has them, anywhere!
Oh, the bag is in good condition for year too, zips all work perfect no jamming.
Personal collection is MORE than welcome!
..and some other clips showing the overall great condition of board !!!
the board was used the day after I took the pictures, so there are a few free grains of sand thrown in :)

KiteForum Board Review
I've had the Nobile 666 board (132x 40) for a good 2 months now and i can honestly say the board is more than super sweet.
I have been riding it with both bindings and straps (mostly bindings though as they fit straight on to the original inserts)
The first thing you notice is the clear window on the deck which allows you to see what the board is made of..... wood, honeycomb, PVC foam, rubber, carbon and kevlar.
The 3D moulded tail controls the flex in the tips and gives a more bitey feel so you can get away with riding super small fins, even in really choppy stuff.
It honestly has to be one of the best boards for upwind performance and pops off the water like a cork from a champagne bottle.
The board gets on the plane easy and the faster you go the more in control you feel. Just push your back leg down and shoot upwind.
This board will take a hell of a beating......trust me on that.
If you doubt the boards strength there is also a 666 PTEX version with die cut PTEX base for improved kicker & slider use, Its meant for the different riding style bindings give and is also easy to repair from the damage kickers & sliders do to boards. It also has extra inserts for different stance options.
These boards are well worth the money and riders of any ability will greatly benifit from the performance features.
With a kiter like Mark Shinn designing, testing and approving them you know that the board is built from a kiter with years of experience and is designed for todays style of kiteboarder.
I wish i had 2 extra hands so i could give this board 4 thumbs up!
Get your hands on one and give it go.
