I have for you today a c1940s Ladies Jeweled Unbranded mechanical Sub Seconds Watch.
The movement which is a Forster 2075 is what accurately dates this timepiece.
It has a gold filled casing.
As you can see it is in good order for its 70+ years of service.
Keeping very good time on a wind and is a reliable timepiece..
The dial is in a yellowy tone and houses black hands and numbers.
It winds and sets easily and is a very nice old watch to own.
The crystal is clean. It does have marks as does the rest of the watch.
The case back has the wording walzgolddouble, 20 mikron 10 jahre = This equates to 20mic gold filled, 10 Years Guarantee
All i ask is that you remember it is an old timepiece that still wants to give more years of enjoyment to someone.
Förster produced in the mid of the last century several shaped movements with anchor escapement (expensive) but rocker winding mechanism (cheap). The caliber 2075 was one of the early ones. It uses a large mainspring barrel, which can be exchanged easily. This movement with screw balance is made without shock protection.
The misplaced cap jewel of the balance plate is no optical illusion, it is really not centered, but that does not bother the movement at all.An older version of this movement was produced with 7 jewels. This may be a 7j movement.
Sizes:- 6.5" up to about 7.75", 22 x 16.5mm dial, 9.5mm deep, Weight 22gms
