BATMAN RETURNS ORIGINAL SCREEN USED SUIT
ON A PRODUCTION USED FOAM LIFE CAST
COMES WITH FULL PROVENANCE
This is a very rare screen used stunt Batman Returns suit! It was worn by Michael Cassidy who was Keatons photo double stunt man on many of his films, and was used for a zip wire, explosion, and driving sequences. It comes with full provenance. Michael Cassidy confirmed he wore this actual suit in the film and what it was used for, he recognised it straight away! You can easily contact him yourself should you wish to speak with him. The suit was originally bought by a well known LA collector direct from Warner Brothers, I can also provide the contact details for him. I also spoke to Vin Burnham (costume effects supervisor who also appears on the dvd extras) and Robert Burman (mold maker and costume fixer on Returns) Again they are easily contactable if you want to ask them any questions. The history and provenance of this suit is better than any COA. see this video link where Robert talks about making the suits- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtVuvN7hVfs
This display consists of torso and arm armor made of foam latex, and a full under body suit which is mounted on a production used foam lifecast. This suit had lots of use in the film as mentioned. The torso armour is in very good condition as you can see in the pictures, however the forearms are damaged due to being worn under the gloves. The right forearm armour is mostly there but cracked with little bits missing, but the left forearm armour is mostly missing with just one part remaining. However, this doesn't really detract from how great it looks, and how rare it is. Complete costumes, which in most cases have replica pieces and always damage to forearms and shin areas sell for around £25000+. The foam life cast is held together by metal rods running through the centre, legs and arms. It also comes with a replica cowl which has been moulded from an original.
This suit is over 22 years old, very few survived and this one was definitely screen used as the provenance proves. If you cant afford the £25k to buy a full suit this is your chance to own the main part, it makes a great display! I am now saving up for a complete screen used suit...
UK buyers- Ideally this will have to be collected as it is over 5 foot tall and cant be broken down. I can also deliver anywhere in the country for a fee. cash on collection/delivery preferred. postage is NOT free, ebay would only let me put a max of £7. email me first for a delivery quote.
International bidders. This is located in the UK and will have to be shipped in a huge box as it cant be broken down into smaller pieces. Shipping is extra and not included in the price. any extra customs/import fees are the buyers responsibility and are not included in the price.
NO RETURNS!! this is an extremely rare original film prop.
