100% Genuine and Official London 2012 Olympic Torch

Tenovus are thrilled to be able to offer one of the famous Olympic torches actually used in the London 2012 torch relay.

The torch has been generously donated by Michelle Roderick, a very special young lady who volunteers for the Charity in one of our shops, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Tenovus the Cancer Charity.

The torch is in excellent condition ( only used once! ) - it comes complete with the official carrying bag - and is a very special piece of Olympic memorabillia.

The torch has already been hailed as a "design classic" - winner of the Design Museum's Design of the Year for 2012 - it's made from alluminium alloy, and weighs just over 1 kg. The design incorporates 8,000 holes to represent the 8,000 torch bearers that will carry the flame, and the 8,000 miles that the relay will cover.

The three sided shape represents the three times that Great Britain has hosted the games. 

Only 8,000 of these have been produced, and relatively few have been offered on the open market.  At the time of listing this was the only one we could see on e-bay where 100% of the proceeds were going to a Charity

So please be generous in your bidding - not only will you be acquiring a rare and fabulous piece of sporting history , it's almost certainly going to appreciate in value and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your money will going to help cancer patients and their families.

We won't charge for P&P, as we'd prefer to deliver it ourselves - however we would have to make a charge for international bidders.

We've just noticed that there is a slight chip on the back of the torch - additional photo included in the listing for closer inspection. We don't think this affects the appearance of the torch as it is on the back.

The torch has continued raising money for the charity over the weekend as everyone wants to be a part of the games and have their photo taken with it!
