This is an exciting chance to own a unique David Shrigley artwork, created especially for Christian Aid Week 2012. Macclesfield-born artist, David, best known for his drawings that make witty and wry observations on everyday life, has applied his trademark humour to this pair of black, size 10, Hunter wellington boots. The boots are signed by the artist and this is the only pair that has been created. David says of his design: ‘These are special wellingtons. They will bring he/she who will own them good fortune and a long life.’ The boots are being auctioned by Christian Aid as part of Christian Aid Week to raise vital funds for its work in countries such as Sierra Leone. The theme of this year’s fundraising week is ‘give the tools to help people in poverty out of poverty’, and David’s wellies are one of a host of celebrity-designed gardening tools and equipment being auctioned and on display at a pop-up shop at 63 Broadwick Street London from 14 – 19 May 2012. Please note that delivery outside
the UK will incur additional delivery costs and buyers from countries other
than the UK should contact us for additional information. |
