Original

1990-Now

You are bidding on an original painting by the artist Dan Mumford as a member of The Dead Sea Mob, created exclusively to benefit the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Every penny of profit from this sale will go directly towards funding their forthcoming 'Operation Divine Wind' mission. You'll not only be the proud owner of a one of a kind piece of art, but you’ll also sleep soundly at night in the knowledge you’ve probably saved the life of a hulking great whale!

Please read the following carefully before bidding:

This piece was created live by Dan Mumford, exclusively as part of a charity event in honour of Sea Shepherd aboard the HMS Belfast in September 2011

It's a 1m x 1m mixed media painting (acrylic & Posca) on canvas as shown in the photograph.

*** It's very important that you understand you are bidding on an oversized 'studio canvas' ***

*** Due to the size of the piece it is being sold as a collect only, but we can help suggest/arrange
a private courier to make the delivery within the UK, please note you will be responsible for ALL ADDITIONAL PACKING & SHIPPING CHARGES-
please e-mail prior to bidding for an estimate***

*** COLLECTION of this item will be from the post code TW9 2JN and can be arranged after the auction has ended and payment has been received***

*** INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS must contact us for a shipping estimate and agree in writing to ALL packing & shipping charges BEFORE bidding.***

With all the 'serious stuff' out of the way, support the cause, get bidding and good luck!

About the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
Set up in 1977 by Captain Paul Watson, a Greenpeace co-founder who’d grown tired of conservation groups who talk a lot but do nothing, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS)
are one of the most feared groups of ‘eco-pirates’ in the world. They take their fleet around the world preventing the illegal slaughter and torture of marine life.
The SSCS, whose supporters include Sir Mick Jagger, Pierce Brosnan, Daryl Hannah, Martin Sheen and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, are currently preparing
for their most dangerous mission yet in Operation Divine Wind, in the Southern Ocean to combat Japanese whaling ships to save the creatures from certain death.

About The Dead Sea Mob
The Dead Sea Mob is a creative brotherhood brought together by little more than a good strong wind and bound by a shared affinity for the dark and arcane.
6 artists, each known for charging through the undercurrents and uncharted waters of the low brow art scene, together a force to be reckoned with.
We put on art events with a difference, literally bringing the creative process to life. We use our events as an opportunity to side-step the confines
and comfort zones that most artists work in and to collaborate with as many switched on artists and creatives as we can.
