Great bench however it doesn’t warrant close inspection. If the machining of the wood was better and pilot holes drilled more carefully then all to the better. Soiled and dented wood with some poor filler applied. It is definitely worth counter sinking all screws for looks. A Matt coating has been applied But a light sanding over all should have been done 1st to get rid of any dirt marks. If you are prepared to put a little bit of extra prep work into this bench then you will be pleasantly surprised as to how good it is.

The pre drilled holes were not deep enough to take the screws. When they were inserted to about two thirds of their length the headsstarted chipping. No way cou ld I slot in the bolts at the top end of the bench. Then I found that there was a crack on the armrest and the seat was warped. The olny redeeming feature was the speedy delivery.

product is very good but let down by the quality of the screws and nuts/bolts ! Luckily I had some good quality ones and the chair now looks great. A good coat of timber preservative will give it a longer service. All done and looking good.

Wood needed sanding down. All holes needed redrilling and countersinking. Screws supplied bent when assembling so had to buy new ones. Wood was varnised over black mould on the wood in places. It took 4 hours to Sand down, assemble and re-varnish. Nothing like the colour in the picture.
