PANTHER M120 1961 MOTORCYCLE 650cc SOLO HISTORIC VEHICLE
I bought the Panther just over 12months ago after it had been stood for about 18 years. I have done a bit of tidying up, fitted a new gel battery, cleaned the carb etc. put an mot on and got it registered as a Historic Vehicle. The dual seat that came with it was totally copputt so I put the two single seats on, but the front seat could do with some springs sorting. Although the bike now runs reasonably well there are still a few things need sorting such as the front brake that is not as good as it should be. When I put it in the garage a while back I noticed that both the fuel tap filters could probably do with cleaning. The engine is out of a 1959 motorcycle of the same model.
I have done a few miles on it last year and I intended to do more work on the bike this year but have recently had a stroke and can no longer do any more jobs or even start it. So sadly my bike days are over. The bike is solid and very original apart from the seats. The electrics all work including the charging.
The Panther is a 1961 M120 650cc. It comes with the V5 showing 2 previous owners. It has an MOT and registered as a historic vehicle so the road tax is free. The registration number is original to the bike. There is a lot of books, service manuals etc. with it and quite a number of 'Sloper' Magazines the Panthers Owner's magazines.
Please look at all the photos. It is a good bike for the right person and I am sorry to see it go so soon. I am looking for £4,750 which I consider to be a fair price. Due to the circumstances of the sale no silly offers please and no timewasters.
I will be happy to answer any questions by phone between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm. My number is 0161 427 2274 or you can email me.
Although the bike was a runner last year, I haven't run it since therefore I would recommend collecting it in a van. Strictly cash on collection only.
