Sizzling Prawns in Spicy Olive Oil and Garlic

If you have visited Spain then I am sure you will have tried Gambas Pil Pil in one of Spain's  many Tapas Bars.
Well now you can make your very own Gambas Pil Pil with our carefully blended traditional Spice Mix. 

Each Packet weighing 75 grams enough to make up to 6 portions of Pil Pil.

RECIPE FOR GAMBAS PIL PIL
Ingredients
  • 200 gm of large peeled prawns uncooked 10 - 12 prawns per person
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil 
  • A few stems of flat leafed  parsley
  • 1 -2 Plump cloves of garlic
  • 2  Heaped teaspoons of pil pil Spice
  • 1 - 2 Small dried chilli peppers    
Serves One Person

Method
  1. Heat the oven 220 degrees C
  2. Prepare prawns
  3. Chop garlic into small pieces
  4. Reserve a few sprigs of parsley for garnish, then chop the remaining into small pieces
  5. Chop the chilli finely, if you prefer less fiery flavour discard the seeds retaining just the skins
  6. When the oven comes to temperature put the olive oil into small ovenproof dish use one per person and put into oven for 5-7 minutes or until the oil starts to bubble
  7. Remove the dish or dishes from the oven stir in the pil pil, chilli, garlic, parsley
  8. Add the prawns ensuring they are well coated with the mix
  9. Return to oven for 4-5 minutes until the oil is bubbling vigorously and the prawns have just turned pink
  10. Garnish with sprigs of parsley and serve immediately still in the oven proof dishes whilst the oil is still bubbling
  11. Serve fresh crusty bread to mop up the spicy oil
