As all shoe manufacturers sizes vary and children’s feet are constantly growing its always going to be difficult to fit all the feet all of the time. Below is a rough guide to getting your child’s foot length / size.

To get some idea of the length of your child’s foot ask them to stand up right against the wall with their heels against the skirting board, now measure from the skirting board to the end of their toes this should give you a rough guide to their foot length.

Note most people have one foot slightly longer than the other (up to one size difference between feet is common) so always use the measurement from the largest foot when ordering shoes.

If in doubt its better to go for a bigger size

Size 8   - ideal foot length 143mm to 149mm

Size 9   - ideal foot length 148mm to 154mm

Size 10 - ideal foot length 157mm to 163mm

Size 11 - ideal foot length 165mm to 171mm

Size 12 - ideal foot length 176mm to 182mm

Size 13 - ideal foot length 185mm to 191mm

Size 1   - ideal foot length 191mm to 197mm

Size 2   - ideal foot length 200mm to 206mm

This is only a basic guide to fitting and does not take into account joint fittings etc but should help to give an indication of size. All our shoes have an average joint fitting.
