Item specifics

Seller notes: One Edinburgh paperweight has a bulls eye bruise otherwise excellent used condition
Glassware Type: Paperweights

A collection or paperweights from a variety of makers. Some very scarce items amongst this mostly Scottish millefiori and lampwork collection.

Two Paul Ysart weights including a rare two fish 3d paperweight - complete with PY cane and label. The Ysart crown is fantastic in shades of yellow red blue and white. Both in fantastic condition.

An inkwell of indeterminate manufacture - there are Ysart & Vasart canes present. The green spiral 'well' is reminiscent of Salavador Ysart but the proportions are not. An exceptional piece. The stopper has been roughly hewn with a number of associated chips but still in excellent order.

A miniature Clichy scrambled paperweight - very colourful. There is a slight ridge around the scrambled millefiori crown and the odd very minor and very small scratch. 1.75 diam ; 1.5 high.

Two RARE pieces from Perthshire. The first is the 1973 Crown - only 150 made and the central cane contains a flower centre. The base is signed with a JA cane for Jack Alan - the only annual collection paperweight signed by the artist. The second piece is most probably a PROTOTYPE FISH weight, The 1980 I weight was made in an edition of 400 but this piece pre-dates the official release and differs somewhat in design. P 1979 cane to base. Condition of both is excellent.

Three John Deacons paperweight - A fantastic double overlay - a blue wallflower with veined leaves on a latticinio spiral cushion with dark pink over white overlay. Facets cut with multiple oval large and small facets to side. Thistle signed/dated cane to base 2003. 3.25 diam. 2.5 high. Also a rarely produced MABRIE paperweight in green/red/white JD2001 to base. Finally a modern classic - Johns superb Crown - early date with JD 1994 cane to base.

Five Edinburgh millefiori paperweights - a very nice selection including Aquamarine 205/250; Highland Heather overlay 121/250 (see notes re bruise); Turquoise Delight 235/500 plus Wheel of Fortune and Bed of Canes.

Finally an attractive of a Pertthshire P20 and a William Manson 2002 miniature 34/100 (I have the certificate but cant put my hands on it. Assume supplied without until it turns up)

A mostly scottish selection with the one French import.

OFFERS CONSIDERED on the whole lot or individual pieces.
